Summer begins with Venus in Leo, still gaining on Mars in Virgo. Mars is heading toward conjunction with Saturn. The three will be conjunct from beginning to mid-August in late Virgo, early Libra - and opposite Jupiter/Uranus in Aries. Pluto remains square to Jupiter/Uranus throughout the Summer, but thankfully, Venus and Mars eventually go on their merry ways, and Saturn also pulls away, moving farther into Libra.       CLICK HERE TO SUBSCRIBE Due to the t-square mentioned above, this Summer we will continue to experience irregular, irreverent, boundary pushing, unexpected, reckless, even illegal behavior. We may expect power struggles, clashes with authority, defiance of the established order, and a boldness in the striving for freedom and innovation. Be extra careful the end of July, especially with anyone you may have taken into confidence, as alliances may change suddenly, and new opportunities for change can crop up unexpectedly. For those who can weather resistance and follow their true hearts, there is potential to make grand strides within the most beneficial relationships, and to find and successfully pursue one's true calling. ~ Mewsings from Venus & Mars ~ Mars is in Virgo until 7/29 - an exacting, critical, meticulous male energy. Venus is in Leo until 7/10 - she'll be expecting you to think well of her. If you don't, she's bound to look elsewhere for admiration! Don't expect her to do what you say - she's the queen of the jungle now! 6/22 - a day for intense attractions. 6/29 - 7/5 fortunate, surprising and/or powerful connections may be made, 7/7 to 7/10 - look for healing, understanding, compassion, and deep meaning in all your relationships. 7/10 - Venus in Virgo - joins Mars in a quest to get things done, and done right. This is a great time to start making intelligent plans for the future. 7/13 - female power and magnetism. 7/29 - 8/3, the t-square mentioned above comes into play with Mars joining Saturn. We may expect some back and forth between restriction/oppression, and tolerance/spontaneity. This is a time to practice self-control and patience, and to speak more often about our similarities than our differences. A positive, constructive outlook is essential! 7/26 - 9/14 - Mars in Libra is a dynamo, ready to bond with like-minded others, and take on the world. His opinions and ideas will take on more importance, and he'll be expecting some romance, too. 8/4 - 8/10 - sudden or surprising meetings can result in serious relationships. Beware of being swept into reckless or dangerous situations. Venus enters Libra on 8/6 and joins Mars in the t-square fun, bringing potential for positive, meaningful alliances to be formed, and for the forces of love to rule the day. 8/11 - 8/22, expect karmic meetings with potential for long-term relationships - especially 8/14, 16 & 20. 8/28 - 8/31 - irresistable attractions! 9/4 & 9/5 - Compassion, healing and understanding in relationships. Venus is in Scorpio 9/8 to 11/8 - bringing intensity, passion and perhaps some possessiveness into our relationships, especially for females. Reassuring each other of our commitments will be important during this time. 9/8 - 9/12, there is energy for strong emotional/spiritual connections to be formed or renewed - and for needed healing to occur. Mars is in Scorpio 9/14 to 10/27, and Venus/Mars continue to be close until mid-October. Relationships can gain in strength, or fall apart if they are stagnating. 9/18 - 19, there should definitely be some serious hooking-up going on, especially with those you admire for their creativity and intelligence! Mercury Retrograde in Virgo from 8/21/10 to 9/12/10 begins with Mercury unaspected, thus intensifying the importance of the zodiac position, and decreasing the helpful influence of other planets. If you have Sun, Moon, Mercury or rising in mutable signs - Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius or Pisces, this retrograde will likely be felt more strongly. As with any Mercury retrograde, be extra careful with messages, mail, travel, paperwork and double checking your facts. It is sometimes best to put off bigger decisions until Mercury is direct! Retrograde Mercury stops our thoughts, makes us reflect and review, and sometimes confounds us. In Virgo, the emphasis is on perfection, preparation, purity, details, routine, health and safety, and practical application of facts. If you do not have things in order, you may feel compelled to thoroughly analyze and assess questionable situations, perhaps over and over, until you do. Self doubt and criticism will be more pronounced, and there may be a feeling of loneliness or helplessness (few planetary aspects to Mercury), and perhaps emotional vulnerability as well, as the Moon (inner self) aspects Mercury through this retrograde period. The minor aspects (septile, octile, novile) to Venus and Mars in Libra can bring tension to relationships, yet may also increase understanding and cooperation. To weather this particular retro - focus on sharing responsibilities. Ask for help when needed, do routine, uncomplicated work to keep your mind off bigger issues, be creative, show kindness to yourself and others, prepare for challenges ahead, care for your body well and don't stress or panic about health issues, and of course - practice patience! Jupiter in Aries from 6/6/10 to 9/8/10 (again 12/6/10 - 1/22/11) brings high energy for personal improvement, devotion to causes, perhaps even religious fervor. For those who love to travel or take on new ventures, any opportunities that present themselves will be very hard to resist. Jupiter in Pisces from 9/9/10 - 12/5/10 brings sensitivity, charity and healing energy when it comes to our outlook on culture, education, and social justice. This is a good time to become active in causes that benefit those less fortunate in the world, and to seek stronger connections within our local communities. Saturn in Virgo from Sept. 2007 to July 21, 2010 brings our focus to the things of the earth.. the cleanliness and purity of our physical environment. These years can bring a stronger sense of purpose and responsibility within our social institutions, government and from authority figures regarding the sanctity and protection of our mother earth. A wonderful time this can be!! Let's make conscious guardianship of our world the central focus for all we do! Saturn in Libra from July 21, 2010 to October 5, 2012 brings our relationships to the forefront, forcing us to look at what we choose to see in ourselves and others. How do we get along? How do we perceive those we are close too? Do I sometimes project my own self-image onto others, effectively blaming them for my own faults? Am I looking for others to fulfill whatever I believe I lack? Am I even conscious of these things? This is the time to take relationships seriously, and to see the truth behind what is mirrored, and what is within oneself. Uranus in Pisces 5/28 to 8/13, 2010 - Uranus is in very early Aries... giving us a brief preview of this dynamic energy. We may feel agitated, restless, itching for something new - some adventure to help bring us closer to the truth behind our existence. This is a great time to make new friends, and explore new avenues of expression and experimentation. Uranus is toward the end of his stay in Pisces. Are we ready to experience a more tolerant, humanitarian, compassionate world? What have we expected with Uranus in Pisces? A change in the prevailing style in movies, fashion and art will be seen in the months and years to come - probably bringing much more in the realm of the unusual, shocking, rebellious, and inter-cultural.   Pluto is in Capricorn until 2024. The very fabric of society may begin to be re-woven - but not before old structures are dismantled. Capricorn is about authority, success, achievement and social order. Pluto is about death and regeneration. Pluto asks us to dig deeper into ourselves to discover the true meaning of success, and to use what is best in this world to create something much better. We need to avail ourselves of, and share, our brightest and most humanistic minds (Uranus in Pisces, Neptune in Aquarius!!), and not descend into blind destructiveness, greed or desperation. The powerful Neptune/Pluto septile will last (going in and out of close orb) into 2011. For those of us who are very creative, tremendous inspiration can bring influential, explosive, mind-blowing creations. In love - the potential for making inspired changes is heightened - yet there also exists the possibility of getting lost in confusion. Avoid falling into a pit of despair, or indulging in self-destructive activities. Getting nowhere fast? Look for Creative and Healthy, Inspired, Loving outlets to save your skin! Get involved in helping others.... this is especially important now! Neptune/Pluto can bring the sort of fanaticism that has not been seen since the last such aspect at the beginning of WWII. Yet - this aspect also has the potential to inspire lasting, humanitarian changes throughout the world. the The North & South Nodes are on the Capricorn/Cancer axis until 3/4/2011, bringing a focus on relationships that can help us to achieve our goals, do our very best, and encourage us to honor our teachers, supporters and mentors. As we enter this phase, take time to remember ancestors and to acknowledge valued family members, yet to let go of those memories and belongings that no longer serve us. Reach out with enthusiasm for new opportunities that may present themselves!   Chiron in Aquarius This archetype of human compassion will be passing through Aquarius from January 06 til Feb. 2011, bringing a period of higher inspiration in the realm of healing.
