Dear
MoonCat
Visitor,
Greetings!!
May
you and your loved ones be protected from harm during this stormy
season of the year, and for those who are just going back to school,
may you find real meaning for your life within each new bit of
knowledge gained!
I'd
like send support and love to my (amazing and wonderful!) son Peter,
who has recently completed basic training for the Navy and is
beginning his A training in Pensacola. May our Navy continue to be
the front-line of humanitarian efforts around the world, and may all
our service men and women not only be safe, but be our messengers for
peace, love and understanding!
Many
Blessings!

How
to Treat your Virgo |
|
 |
|

Your
Virgo is an Earth Angel, a swift, intelligent Mercury without wings,
a dynamically aware work-force. She notices everything. He is hyper-awake.
Virgo,
though unassuming, kind and shy, is one of the strongest signs in
the Zodiac. This is intelligent earthiness - discerning practicality
- a strong yet gentle kindness and nurturing born of sheer common
sense. Your Virgo strives to be a model of perfection. She loves to
please you! He is driven to impress you with his talent for making
the most out of the best!
Mercury's
other child, Gemini, is a much more lighthearted, air-born spirit.
While Gemini is busy gathering knowledge, Virgo insists on action and
wants to know what will be done with the information at hand. The
question is always - "of what practical use is this?" A
master at taking things apart and analyzing them - Virgo always finds
room for improvement.
So
how can you possibly impress one who sees and knows so much? How can
you hide your imperfections? What will you do when YOU are the object
of her keen observation? You must be a strong spirit to be with Virgo
- both hard working and emotionally tough. You will be happiest with
your Virgo if you are one who appreciates purity, discernment and a
logical mind; and spurns the superfluous. Feed your Virgo with
uncluttered surroundings, a practical, frugal budget and pure,
beautiful speech. Make healthful foods a priority. Take the trash out
often. Iron your clothes. Ask your Virgo for help - Virgo lives to
serve! Remind your Virgo how much you appreciate his careful choices.
Tell her how impressed you are with her impeccable taste and well
thought out advice. Make her a part of your life- improvement team!
You will be rewarded with an eternal help-mate, and a devoted, down-to-earth,
sensual, soft-hearted, compassionate lover.

How
to Treat your Libra |
|
 |
|
Your
lovely Libra man or maiden longs to walk side by side with you
through life. "Alone" is not in Libra's bountiful
vocabulary, nor is "lonely." A life of solitude is just not
acceptible, and if your Libra does not feel sufficiently loved,
you're sure to hear about it one way or another. If she doesn't find
you sitting lovestruck by her side, she'll be fluttering her lashes
at the nearest handsome beau, or lavishing gifts upon herself to feel
sufficiently adored. If he finds you unattentive or yawning at his
words, he will undoubtedly start flirting with the nearest skirt!
Libra
is a child of Venus, and will not hesitate to use all the charms the
goddess of love possesses in order to get what she wants. Beauty,
grace, wit, style and all the wiles of a temptress or temptor are at
your Libra's command. How can you possibly hold onto such a romantic creature?
First
of all, you must be fair with your Libra. She is highly aware of
balance and harmony in all things and can detect the slightest hint
of inequity. And be open - your Libra is so focused on YOU that he
can surely read your mind anyway. It's especially helpful, too, if
you are appreciative of all things beautiful - music, art and people
- (especially your Venusian Prince or Princess!). Or if art doesn't
grab you, your mind must be active and entertaining enough to keep
your Libra interested in everything you have to say. Then again, if
you are a terrific lover, you can forget about the rest! The bottom
line is, feed your Libra's insatiable need for beauty, love and
partnership and you're home free. You can get away with criticism if
it's done with a hilarious sense of humor. You can get away with
flirting if you flirt doubly (make that triply) with your Libra. And
you can get away with boredom if you lavish your Libra with anything
pleasing to the senses. It's as simple as that!
Help
your Libra with making decisions. Participate in his schemes. Make
loving suggestions while she is decorating or dressing. But most of
all, make sure your Libra feels adored - and you will be rewarded
with one of the most charming, generous, beautiful, handsome,
intelligent, witty and doting mates the Zodiac has to offer!

The
Hermit in the Tarot |
|
 |
|

The
Hermit in the Tarot is associated with the Sign of Virgo
~
Following the Light ~
The
Hermit travels alone through life. He is either oblivious to, or
doesn't concern himself with how others perceive him. This one is a
light unto his own. The Hermit follows a distinct inner vision. He
has a sure and well defined path to follow. This soul knows exactly
where he is headed and possibly even what he will find there - and he
doesn't necessarily need any companions, or even approval - except
perhaps from whomever or whatever he holds highest in his heart.
In
my favorite Tarot book, (which I can't find -!!), the author defines
the hermit as one who follows the "straight and narrow path"
This is my preferred way of reading this card. Chances are - unless
the Hermit falls between two very ominous cards - the path the Hermit
chooses is the highest and most clear- visioned path one is capable
of. In other words... although perhaps unyielding to outside
influence, the Hermit doesn't hurt people, lie or make a mess of
things. He proceeds through life's challenges with great focus, and
the purest of intentions. Sometimes the Hermit represents you, and
sometimes another person serving as a Guide for you. Unlike the
Heirophant or Priestess, though - this is a guide who is willing to
stand well outside of the usual boundaries - apart from tradition or
conformity, and quietly lead the way.
In
a much simpler context, perhaps the Hermit portrays a situation in
which you are completely on your own. There is no partner, nobody to
consult with. This is your life - and you must do what you must do! A
lonely guy or gal? Perhaps - but we all need solitude sometimes, and
sometimes even for a long time. And in the grand scheme of things,
except for that guiding light of Love we all hold so dear - we are
each indeed - all alone.
In
yet another scenario (again assuming that surrounding cards support
this) - the Hermit can indicate that things are going along as
planned. The scenario you are concerned with remains aligned with
your wishes and your ultimate goals.
On
a very personal level, this card asks you - what exactly is your
path? What light are you following? Is it your own, or something
pre-designed by society? In all likelihood, it is a combination of
both - but whatever it may be - it is certainly your own, and you
alone are responsible for your choices....

The
Outer Planets - Chiron, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and the Lunar Nodes
~^.
.^~
|
|
 |
|

Uranus
in Pisces! ... Uranus will stay in the Sign of the Fish 'til
2011! Spiritual Revolution you say?? Yes, that would describe it
well. What can we expect with Uranus in Pisces? Perhaps our ideas
about death, sacrifice, the fantastic and impossible, transcendence
and service to humanity will take some dramatic and innovative turns.
We can hope that humanitarianism will take on new meaning and
purpose, and that service to others may become a more integral part
of our social order. With this placement, Uranus can become quite
reclusive or fanatical. Scientists who may have been hiding out for
years in research can bring new and surprising inventions and
discoveries into our midst, and Political Messiahs may come out of
the woodwork. With Uranus and Neptune in mutual reception - they will
rely upon each other more than usual, and herald perhaps a renewed
and revolutionary (Uranus) vision for humanity (Neptune) The cost may
be a certain amount of turmoil and confusion regarding just where we
are going for humanity, and will probably not be without conflict.
Neptune
in Aquarius (til 2012) is helping to set our expressions of love
and creativity into positive, innovative motion. A change in the
prevailing style in movies, fashion and art will be seen in the
months and years to come - probably bringing much more in the realm
of the unusual, shocking, rebellious, and inter-cultural.
Pluto
is on the Sagittarius/Capricorn cusp through the end of 2008,
bringing a new Plutonian era of change in our social institutions,
government and power structures. The very fabric of society may begin
to be re-woven - these are exciting times!! With Pluto first entering
Capricorn accompanied by Venus and Jupiter, we may indeed feel
blessed with good fortune, harmony and high ideals!
The
powerful Neptune/Pluto septile, exact on Dec 1, 2006 and Feb.
21, 2007 will last (going in and out of close orb) into 2011! For
those of us who are very creative, tremendous inspiration can bring
influential, explosive, mind-blowing creations. In love - the
potential for making inspired changes is heightened - yet there also
exists the possibility of getting lost in confusion. Avoid falling
into a pit of despair, or indulging in self-destructive activities.
Getting nowhere fast? Look for Creative and Healthy, Inspired, Loving
outlets to save your skin! Get involved in helping others.... this is
especially important now! Neptune/Pluto can bring a fanaticism wthat
has not been seen since the last such aspect at the beginning of
WWII. Yet - this aspect is also very positive for creating lasting,
humanitarian changes throughout the world.
The
North and South Nodes are now on the Aquarius/Leo axis ('til
8/21/09). This node placement brings positive connections based on
love for humanity and the quest for social equality, along with
healing in the area of self-love and love for loyalty's sake. This is
a good time to examine our motives, use our egos wisely, and take the
high road - or face karmic consequences!
Chiron
in Aquarius... This archetype of human compassion will be
passing nonstop through Aquarius from January 06 til Feb. 2011,
bringing a period of higher inspiration in the realm of healing. We
may look forward to greater cooperation worldwide in the healing
sciences, and perhaps going back to tradition - those time honored
ways that our ancestors enjoyed and practiced in harmony with nature.
Perhaps we may find more and more "health" foods (ie
unaltered and unprocessed) on our grocery shelves, greater acceptance
of mind-body healing approaches, and some brave new ideas to surface, too.

Mewsings
from Venus & Mars... September 2008 |
|
 |
|
Mars
is in Libra from 8/19 to 10/3. This is a time for taking charge
in relationships, and creating balance and order. If the give/take
ratio is off, adjustments may need to be made! Men may seem
particularly strong-willed. If you want him to lead the way - just
ask! (He'll love it)
Venus
in Libra is gaining on Mars, and they will conjunct on 9/11.
With Mercury in Libra as well, and (wide) trines to Chiron/N.Node/Neptune
in Aquarius, we can expect an air of indecision in
relationships, and perhaps confusion and/or mixed messages. While
you're in limbo or putting off making up your mind, explore your
deep, inner knowing, watch and listen for signs from above, and
decide to do what's really best for everyone involved. This can be a
time of great healing and renewal!
Venus
in Scorpio on 9/24 brings passion back, and can either cause
unresolved issues to explode, or help pave the way for renewed love
and commitment.
FUTURE
FORECAST FOR LOVE
During
the first week in September, Jupiter trines Saturn (through
the 18th) and Mars squares Jupiter, bringing energy to make things
happen, particularly in regard to productive relationships that may
benefit the community and/or the world. Try to look at any clashes or
roadblocks as steps on the road to progress.
The
second week in September, Venus/Mars quintile Pluto (exact on 9/13), bringing
strong sensual/sexual energy, along with the danger of going to
excess (square Jupiter). Use moderation in all things, and practice
wisdom, honesty and respect before jumping in!
During
the third week, Venus/Mars trine Neptune and quincunx Uranus. This
is a time for settling into deep spiritual connections, and finding
peace in relationships. Insist on truthful answers to any mysteries
that may plague you.
The
last week in September, Venus octiles Saturn and quintiles
Jupiter, while Mars bi-quintiles Uranus. We can expect
irritations in relationships in which commitment is vague or
non-existent. The urge to leave and find excitement elsewhere can be
overwhelming, but those who are truly in love may feel elated, and
more strongly connected than ever.
~
The Big Guys ~
Jupiter
in Capricorn til 1/5/09 will help set the stage for societal
changes, and perhaps help to broaden the horizons of our policy
makers and power brokers. This can be a year of making great leaps
forward, taking chances, and making new ways the status quo.
Saturn
in Virgo 'til July 21, 2010 brings our focus to the things of
the earth.. the cleanliness and purity of our physical environment.
These coming years can bring a stronger sense of purpose and
responsibility within our social institutions, government and from
authority figures regarding the sanctity and protection of our mother
earth. A wonderful time this can be!! Let's make conscious
guardianship of our world the central focus for all we do!
