Dear
Danielle,
The
heat is on!
I
do love summer - warm sun, bright blue skies, cool water and lazy
evenings at home.... I hope you're enjoying the season too!
I
have not yet launched my Fire, Earth, Air & Water - Metaphysical
Mewsings newsletter, but hope to have it going by Leo time, in July.
I suppose that is fitting for a MoonCat, particularly as the Moon
will be full!
Love
& Blessings,
Danielle

How
to Treat your Cancer |
|
 |
|
Your
Cancer man or maiden is an especially kind and nurturing soul.
Cancers are observant and empathetic. Just as the Moon fills with
light from the Sun, your oceanic Cancer absorbs energy from those
around her, deeply feeling their needs and desires. Your Cancer, like
a warm mama, loves to fulfill you and make you comfortable. Home,
food, garden, nursery, work - all become the loving charge of
Cancer's love and care.
Sometimes
your Cancer becomes overwhelmed with concern for others, and needs
to take refuge in a protective shell to be shielded from negative
influences. You may find your Cancer either hiding out or complaining
sadly. It's just that he is filled to the brim with external woes,
and just can't please everyone. Such a frustration!
For
Cancer, the Moon who rules over his heart waxes and wanes, grows
full with wild lunatic ravings and joy, and shrinks into that dark
place where brooding and sulking can set in. Emotions are inconstant,
but so entertaining for the lucky one who has a Cancer for a friend
or partner!
The
Cancer needs to feel needed. Don't hesitate to ask your Cancer for
help, even if she seems downhearted. It makes her feel alive. Be sure
to confide your deepest feelings and desires to your Cancer. It gives
him the opportunity to be more a part of you, and strive to fulfill
your happiness.
Feed
your Cancer with a well stocked kitchen, room for a garden, pets,
cozy decor and children. Take your Cancer to the water or ocean
often. Allow your Cancer opportunities to use the deep imagination
and creativity within. Be kind and patient when the Moon wreaks havoc
on his moods. Make sure your Cancer has privacy when needed, and
feels safe and protected. Screen his calls! Make sure her locks are
secure! You will be rewarded with joyful, shining moonbeam smiles,
and loving comforts of home to rival the most doting of mothers!

How
to Treat your Leo |
|
 |
|
Your
Leo is independent - yet family oriented; highly organized and
efficient - yet demanding of others. Leo is King or Queen of the
castle, and wants everyone to know it! Shining brightly through that
magnificent mane is a great joy for living... a completely self-contained
world of fun and creativity. Leo wants the outer world to be just as
shiny as she strives to be, and will go to any lengths to achieve it.
Your
Leo needs to be happy with how the world perceives him. If enough
praise is not forthcoming, you will have a sulky, growly lion! Make
sure you take time to compliment, heavily. And please don't criticize
overtly - make sly little helpful suggestions instead. Leo is very
sensitive, but bounces back easily because he can't stand
unhappiness. Life is too fun, and creative opportunities too tempting
for Leo to be out of the action for long.
Remember
that you are part of your Sun-God or Goddess' world. Your reputation
is just as important to your Leo as her own. Do your best to look
good, sound dignified and make your space organized and attractive.
Sweep the dirt out of public view, and don't forget to comb your hair!
Feed
your Leo with joyful, sunny surroundings, the laughter of children,
organized spaces and free-time to roam. Keep competition far away
from your very territorial animal. Shower her with cuddly affection,
your undying love and devotion, and most of all PRAISE. You will be
rewarded with a glowing soul whose heart radiates with blissful
devotion to your needs. Your Leo is sure to passionately love, defend
and protect you. It's his job!

The
Chariot and Cancer |
|
 |
|
The
Sign Cancer is associated with the Chariot in Tarot.
Look
at him go! He's rounding the corner with ease! Has he won the race?
Or is he just beginning, or maybe in the middle of it? This card
often signifies a triumph - but no contest is ever completely won. We
are constantly moving forward - there is always another goal up ahead.
The
horses pulling the Chariot, one black and one white, are wild,
instinctive animals. Harnessed by the skillful hand of a charioteer,
their accuracy is dependent upon his poise, confidence, intelligence
and strength.
As
you go through the motions of life, you may sometimes ask yourself -
who's driving this vessel? Is it the conscious me, is it these crazy
feelings coursing through me, or could it be the untamed forces of my
subconscious? Am I leading the way, or am I being led? Do I have the
ultimate say in my destiny? Where the heck am I headed, anyway??!!!
It
follows that this card is all about Control - over the extremes of
dark and light within your soul, over base emotional reactions, and
over others who might entice you away from your true path.
The
symbolism in the Chariot is deceptively simple - the Charioteer is
the mind and the higher self, the horses are the instincts and
emotions, and the Chariot itself is the body - your vessel. Are you
truly in charge of where you're going?
There
is a delicate balance going on here. Obviously, the driver needs his
horses to get him where he wants to go - but if he lets go of the
reins or loses concentration, they could take him someplace
unfamiliar, or even unpleasant.
On
another level, sometimes this card means that things are moving
along, or someone or something is coming your way. If such is the
case, enjoy the moment - and don't forget to give those wild horses a reward!
You
may sometimes experience the fantastic feeling that you have won -
and the Chariot may indeed be an indication of some triumph in your
life - but until the horses rest completely or the chariot breaks
down, some measure of control over your life will always be required.

Mewsings
from Venus & Mars... July 2005 |
|
 |
|
Venus
and Mars Signs
Venus
in Leo ... 'til July 23rd is feisty and bold, eager to shine and
be seen, and not afraid to growl when displeased. If you're into
showering your female with praise and adoration, or taking her out
for some nights on the town - she's sure to respond with enthusiasm.
In public or in private, this is a time to make her feel treasured
and loved, and respected as well.
Mars
in Aries... 'til July 28th is a pistol, and love can burn
brightly with Venus in Leo. These two can become a wild duo of swift
determination and well-organized effort. If the chemistry is right,
cuddly couples can get fiery hot! If not, watch out for potential
blow-ups, selfish poutiness or sudden arguments. Remember though,
with fire involved, just a touch or a kiss can bring arguing couples
right back into each other's loving arms. People strong in water and
earth signs may feel uncomfortable with this energy, and if single,
could be more inclined to stay home, away from the crazy scene.
Venus
in Virgo... from July 23rd to August 17th can help us get into
those little details that can make love and living a perfect delight.
The pleasures of nature may come into greater focus and clarity, and
we may appreciate the beauty of our world and our loved ones - even
noticing those small things that at other times may elude us. This is
the time to work on perfection within ourselves and in our
surroundings - to eliminate clutter and get down to what is real in
our hearts. Attending to the finer points may be easier, and as long
as we keep our observations positive and constructive, this place for
Virgo offers amazing benefits. Venus in Virgo will go well with Mars
in Taurus (the end of July)- with a focus on natural, sensuous
pleasures, and practical endeavors.
